Their natural curly hair is very fluffy and soft and has an adorable cloud shape. The hair color of these dogs can vary, usually being white, but also brown, black, beige, cream, apricot, blue, sable, red, gray, and even silver.

It should be noted that there may be color combinations in the fur of the poodles, such as being white with black ears or being black with white spots.

Currently, four types of poodle dogs are known regarding their size:

  • Large poodles
  • Medium Poodles
  • Small poodles
  • Poodles toy

There are theories that the origin of this dog is from France and others say that it comes from Germany.

Are Poodles Hypoallergenic?

Usually, people always have three allergies when it comes to dogs:

  • Hair
  • Urine
  • Dandruff
  • Saliva

Poodles are hypoallergenic dogs. There are many people who tend to worry when purchasing a poodle, as they believe that it can affect their allergies. That is not true since this breed of dog is considered the best company for a person suffering from allergies.

Of course, it has not yet been 100% determined that there are entirely hypoallergenic dog breeds, but it is certain that the poodle is a dog that can be a comfortable pet for allergy sufferers.

Hypoallergenic Characteristics of Poodles

1. Their Coat Does Not Shed

Poodles have a single coat of fur, unlike other dogs that have two. This breed does not suffer from shedding. Instead, its hair grows, even more, coiling to form its curls.

Often, people who own a poodle tend to take it to groomers to get their hair cut. That’s because their coat is like a person’s hair and sometimes it needs to be treated.

2. Their Skin Has Low Dandruff

Dandruff is not good for people who have allergies, as this makes their health worse. Many dogs have excess dandruff, and that is usually annoying, but poodles have low dandruff density on their coat or hair

3. They Do Not Usually Drool Frequently

Poodle dogs do not drool very often. In fact, they could be considered as one of the dogs that have a low tendency to drool.

That does not happen with other dogs such as bulldogs or pugs, which tend to drool frequently and are unpleasant and harmful to the person suffering from allergies.

4. They are Very Intelligent

This breed is insightful in many ways. Poodles can be trained to take orders from their owners, making the affected person’s comfort easier.

If at any point you do not want your dog to be around you, you can order it to go somewhere else and it will since you are ordering it.

You must take into account not letting it lick you with its saliva since it is one of the main causes of allergies by a dog and affects the person. It is important to bathe your pet frequently to keep it neat.

It is an important aspect because dogs seem to understand your condition and will want to do their best to make you feel comfortable.
